How can we help you today?
Answers to common questions about visa applications, attestations and appointments.
Document requirements
You need a valid passport, a recent biometric photograph, an employment contract or letter of admission to study, and proof of residence. Detailed requirements vary by visa type — check the relevant service page before applying.
Yes. Certificates issued locally usually require an apostille before they are recognised internationally. Our notary service can help with this.
Appointments
Sign in to the portal, open "My appointments", cancel the existing booking and choose a new available time. Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
An appointment is required for all consular services. Emergency assistance to citizens is available around the clock on the hotline.
Processing
A tourist visa normally takes 5 to 7 working days, and a residence visa 15 to 30 working days. The expected time for each service is shown on the services page.
Use "Check my application" and enter your reference number together with the email address you applied with. We will send you a single-use link, valid for 15 minutes, showing the current status. For security reasons that link shows progress only — to view your documents you must sign in to your account.
Consular fees
You can pay immediately by Swish (for citizens and residents in Sweden), or in person at the mission during your appointment. Processing begins once payment is confirmed.
